This document will ensure that the final application is completed to the necessary standards, it includes everything that was previously agreed on. Specific hardware and software platforms should be included with exact details on models, brands and suppliers. All aspects of the system should be addressed and it could include reliability, accuracy, security, safety, expansion and many others. An overview will provide a description oriented towards development with high-level functionality descriptions and major operations specified.

We will produce a system specification before developing the final system. Further information can be provided for the requirements of individual projects. The specification defines functions that the system performs with the data and information.
