IT SECURITY POLICY

Security policies should provide rules to cover all data, communication and technology within an organization. Security should be the highest priority as everyday there are more threats that target businesses.

All users and administrators have a responsibility to the security policy that promotes professional, ethical and lawful behavior. User policies should cover the internet, email, passwords, privacy and monitoring. Actions that compromise business security can lead to disciplinary action and breaches of security should have clear procedures to follow. Administrators should be responsible for setting up all hardware and software correctly. Legal and regulatory issues such as security and privacy should be included within the policy, as well as the physical security of hardware within offices.

Informationwide can help to write and develop security policies and provide policy reviews or updates. We can help to integrate and implement these within a business environment and provide advice and techniques for raising security awareness among users.
